This Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) First Aid Response Course (FAR) is the new First Aid Training Standard for occupational first aid in the workplace recognised by both the Health & Safety Authority and PHECC. -

This 2-day First Aid Response Re-certification course is intended for those who wish to maintain their PHECC FAR certification. This course will equip participants with knowledge and practical skills to give effective life support, diagnose and treat injuries and illness and care and maintain comfort of a patient until the arrival of emergency medical services. -
During this half day course, the skills taught include adult and paediatric CPR including 2 rescuer scenarios, use of bag valve mask and barrier devices, management of foreign body airway obstruction and use of an AED. Duration: 0.5 day Max Group Size: 6 Certification: Irish Heart Foundation/American Heart Foundation Basic Life Support Certificate and Card valid for 2 years.
